Army ROTC

Army ROTC provides college-trained officers for both the Active Component (U.S. Army) and the Reserve Components (U.S. Army Reserve and the National Guard). As the largest single source of Army officers, ROTC fulfills a vital role in providing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Army.

The Army is growing to meet the challenges of global terrorism, and thus needs thousands of new competent, confident and agile officers each year to lead the force. Students participate in ROTC by enrolling in the military science electives. During the first two years, there is no commitment or obligation involved; military science courses are just like any other elective and can be dropped or withdrawn from at any time.
