As a Faculty Academic Advisor in the Pre-Major Program, Dr. Atuahene is passionate about guiding and supporting students in determining their academic goals, career path and aspirations through a developmental process. Dr. Atuahene also coordinates the Brother-to-Brother Program, an organization created to improve male minority students' retention at West Chester University. Prior to joining the dynamic Pre-Major advising team at WCU, Dr. Atuahene was an Academic Advisor and International Students Registration Coordinator at Western Illinois University. Dr. Atuahene's economic and socio-cultural background remains an index in determining his academic and research interest. His research focuses on higher education finance policy and accessibility in developing countries, student success and retention, and leadership in higher education development in Africa.
