Supplemental Instruction (SI)

SI is a program for students in selected high-risk courses. Students may sign up to be tutored for 1 hour per week in Chemistry 103/104/107/230/231/232 and 1 hour per week in Biology 100/230/259/269.  The tutors attend class, takes notes, and effectively address course specific questions. The goal of SI is to help students develop the content knowledge, along with study skills that will allow them to succeed in their current course work, as well as other University courses.

Currently, SI is available for students enrolled in BIO 100, 230, 259, 269 and CHE 103, 104, 107, 230, 231, and 232. For extra help with these classes, students can access the texts' websites. Each site has practice tests, chapter summaries, and links to other helpful sites.
