The Academic Development Program (ADP) works in partnership with the Office of Residence Life and Housing Services to recruit, select, train, and supervise Peer Assistants for the ADP Summer Session.
Peer Assistants serve as mentors, role models, and resident assistants to students and form links between the students, the ADP, and other resources within the University. Peer Assistants foster an environment that is conducive to the enhancement of academic, social, and personal development of students, and encourage a sense of community in the residence hall. Each Peer Assistant is assigned a peer group of 12-14 students. They facilitate weekly peer group and individual meetings, facilitate recreational, social, and educational programs in the residence hall, and accompany students to all Program events.
Peer Assistant applications will be available in January 2013!!
