Alumni Recognition Award Winners - 2009

Beginning in 2003 the West Chester University Alumni Association has given cash awards to University employees who have made significant contributions throughout the year to the community, University and/or students beyond their normal recognized job responsibilities.

These individuals are nominated by fellow employees and recognition is given based on the following criteria:

  • Service to the University or a constituency
  • Community service
  • Behavior resulting in an enhancement of the University's image
  • Suggestions that have resulted in financial savings or increased service
  • Innovativeness or response to a condition that results in increased productivity
  • Acts of heroism
  • Individual special achievement that clearly is beyond work duties
