WCU Award for Student Research and Creative Activities

The Student Research and Creative Activities (SRCA) Committee announces the 2011/ 2012 competition for West Chester University students.  A maximum of 12 awards, of $500 per proposal, will be presented to student scholars at the March 29th, 2012 University-wide Research Day. 

The SRCA Committee extends our appreciation to Dr. Linda Lamwers, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs for making available the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) towards this year’s awards; and to Dr. Mike Ayewoh, Associate Vice President for Sponsored Research (OSR), for his office’s financial contributions of one thousand dollars ($1,000) toward the SRCA competition, and for his staff’s contributions to all other project-related expenditures and administrative oversight.
 
When completing and submitting your application for the 2012 SRCA award competition, you are required to adhere to the published guidelines contained on the SRCA website: www.wcupa.edu/srca.

In the 2010/2011 SRCA competition, 13 students submitted their application for consideration. A total of 10 projects were awarded, which represents roughly 70% of the submissions.

The application deadline for receipt of completed SRCA application is February 24, 2012 at 5:00 PM.
