The Southeastern Pennsylvania Autism Resource Center (SPARC ) serves children with autism and their families. SPARC's affiliation with West Chester University affords expanded therapeutic benefits for our clients and unique academic benefits for WCU students. SPARC's affiliation with West Chester University does not include funding of the Center by the University. Therefore, donations to SPARC are critical to ensure that we can carry out our mission. Please make checks payable to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Autism Resource Center and mail to the address below.
Even while information about autism spectrum disorders captures news headlines, the behind-the-scenes work of SPARC continues through the efforts of parents, students and professionals trained and supervised by SPARC staff. The needs of our clients - children and families - involve daily challenges, so our job is never done. Your contribution means that we can continue to provide the training and therapeutic services vital to the full development of our clients.
Gifts to SPARC may be designated for a variety of purposes. Among the most important needs are:
Unrestricted Operating Support: these gifts help SPARC keep fees as low as possible.
Equipment: special equipment as well as teaching and treatment technology is vital to improving the lives of children with autism.
Scholarships: these donations help to cover some or all fees for autism services for families with limited financial means. No child should be denied services because of economic conditions.
Teaching Materials: specialized books, software, and learning resources are key to helping children to adapt and improve their quality of life.
Continuing Education: gifts designated for this purpose allow SPARC staff to work with parents and professionals to improve their knowledge of autism and their capacity to help children dealing with this disorder.
Matching Gifts -- Your gift could be matched dollar for dollar! Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, even triple a donation's value. Please check with your company's Human Resources office to see if they will match your gift to SPARC.
Once you have determined that your company matches donations made to the West Chester University Foundation Southeastern Pennsylvania Autism Resource Center, obtain the appropriate form from your personnel/human resources office and send it with a copy of your gift receipt to the address below:
