Behavioral Therapeutic Services

Individuals on the autism spectrum can display a variety of behavioral excesses and deficits. We provide assessment and/or treatment for a wide range of behavioral concerns. Common areas of concern include:

  • Aggressive, self-injurious, and stereotyped behaviors
  • Self help and daily living skills such as dressing, sleeping, and toileting
  • Functional communication
  • Increased motivation
  • Pre-academic skills
  • Play skills

For all behavior reduction procedures, an alternative, appropriate response will be identified and taught. Our treatment procedures utilize strict adherence to diligent data collection and objective assessment of treatment gains to insure maximum benefit to our clients. We believe that parents are the key to ensuring ultimate success in all treatment programs. Therefore, parent training is a key element to all treatment programs at SPARC. We welcome parents as members of the team and will work with families to generalize treatment successes in the clinic to the home/school/daycare environment(s).
