Middle States Accreditation 2011

Middle States Accreditation 2011

In June 2011, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education formally acted to reaffirm West Chester University’s institutional accreditation, which is renewed every 10 years.  In its letter announcing this action, the Commission commends WCU for the quality of the University’s self-study report.  The Commission’s action confirms the findings of the Middle States team that visited the campus in March 2011.  The team’s evaluation report highly praises WCU in several areas and confirms the University’s excellence.  It takes the entire campus community working together over many years to earn such accolades.

If you have not had the opportunity to read the full 2011 Middle States self-study (available on this Shared Vision site), I encourage you to do so.  The self-study serves as an important resource as West Chester University continues to move forward in developing and implementing the University’s new strategic plan, Building on Excellence.
