Morning Ceremony
10:00 a.m. Procession

College of Health Sciences
Assemble at the Health Sciences Center parking lot, South Campus, starting at 8:30 a.m. There will be tables and signs identifying your college. Coffee and rolls will be available for graduates. Bring your cap, gown, and hood. Go to the table set aside for your College. You will receive a card with your name on it, as it will be read during the ceremony.
Do not lose this card. Keep it with you and give it to your Dean when you step on stage to receive your diploma cover, as directed by the marshals.
Do NOT add anything to the card. No hand-written additions or changes will be read.
However, if you think your name will be hard to pronounce, write a simple phonetic spelling in parenthesis. Keep it as simple as possible.
Put on your cap, gown, and hood. The Registrar's staff will be available to help you. Baccalaureate candidates place the tassel on the right side of the cap. (You will move it to the left side during the tasseling ceremony).
Line up in a double line behind the marshals leading your college.
At about 9:35 a.m., follow your Marshals as you process from the parking lot staging area into Farrell Stadium. You will process down the center aisle, behind the flag bearers, to your seats, as directed by the Marshals. Remain standing at your seats until the Provost invites everyone to be seated.
The use of cell phones and other similar devices during the ceremony cannot be allowed. Please turn off your cell phones. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
During the ceremony, guests may take photographs only from their seats.
After the ceremony, when the platform party, faculty, and students have left the stadium, guests are welcome to come to the stage to take photographs of the graduates.
