Conference Information
On Thursday, May 7th, 2009, West Chester University will be hosting a higher education conference titled: Resources for the Electronic Classroom: A Faculty-Student Partnership (RECAP 2009).
The purpose of the annual RECAP conference is to offer West Chester University and other faculty the opportunity to improve and enhance the classroom learning environment through integrating technology into their curriculum. In general the RECAP conference is held in two days.
This year however, there will be an abbreviated version of the conference in a one day retreat format. RECAP 2009 will be a held in one day on May 7th, 2009 as a retreat and brainstorming session with discussions on development of future conferences. The RECAP annual conference has been held at WCU for 14 years annually in May of each year. There will be breakout sessions on development of future conferences, specialized tracks and instructional technology trends.
If you are interested in joining this special RECAP session, please contact Donna Beckett (dbeckett@wcupa.edu). The session will be hosted at WCU on May 7th 10-2 pm. Additional information will be posted on this site as details develop.
RECAP 2008 was a successful conference, hosting over 175 participants. Unlike other technology seminars, which merely present new technology cursorily to passive onlookers, RECAP conferences offer extensive hands-on training, through which faculty can experience actual classroom applications.
