Lecture Capture and Recording:

  • MediaSite:

    • Record class materials, capture lectures and demonstrations, and record students work for evaluation. Recordings are made with special equipment located in specific locations on campus then saved on a separate (accessible) server. This may be done with the technical help or on your own (with training).

  • Camtasia:
    • Camtasia is a product instructors can use to record videos using their computer. Then, recordings are published into accessable files that are easily accessed by others. With Camtasia, you record, edit and publish the video yourself using software on your own computer.
  • Both types of video may be uploaded to D2L via Kaltura for your classroom use.

Converting PowerPoint Presentation to an HTML format:

  • Impatica:

    • This utility takes your PowerPoint presentations and converts them to an HTML format that your students can view on any device they may have.
