Clickers at WCU

You may take a course requiring the use of a clicker.  Instructors may use clickers for polling during class or for self-paced exams.  Clickers provide an opportunity for every student in a class to respond to questions, offering a way to assess student understanding of subject matter, engage students, and increase class participation. The standard clicker at WCU is the Turning Technologies  Response Card RF LCD. You only need to purchase one clicker for use in any of your courses at WCU.

Step 1: Purchasing a Clicker

Purchase the Response Card RF LCD (P/N RCRF-03, ISBN: 978-1-934931-40-0) at the WCU Bookstore.

• A $15 mail-in rebate is available for clickers purchased during Spring 2013 and Fall 2013. Submit the rebate request using rebate code RWcu5. You must send in the original ResponseCard clicker box with UPC code and a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase by March 15, 2013 for the Spring rebate.

Purchase the Response Ware App, and Liscense

• The app may be purchased at Itunes, Google Play Store or rwpoll.com
• The liscense must be purchased at http://store.turningtechnologies.com

Step 2: Register Your Clicker

Registration assigns the clicker device id to you. Register within the first few weeks of class.

*** All devices (BOTH Response Card and Response Ware) need to be registered online for your instructor to collect your data in class. If your device is not registered, you may not recieve credit for your answers. ***

1. Login to http://webreg.turningtechnologies.com
2. Enter your First Name- This must mathch your Instructor's Participant List
3. Enter your Last Name- This must match your Instructor's Participant List
4. Enter your User ID (Your WCU student number with a leading 75) Example:75AS887543
5. Enter your WCU email. EX. AS887543@wcupa.edu
6. Enter Security CAPTCHA
7. Click Register Device
8. Verify your information is correct, then Click Final Submission
