About the ResponseCard RF LCD

 

The ResponseCard RF LCD is available for purchase at the WCU Bookstore. This clicker can be used in any classes requiring a clicker during your academic career at WCU. Warranty: 1 year Battery Life: 6-12 months Batteries: ResponseCard RF LCD - Two coin cell lithium batteries (CR2032 3.0V)

Do I need to register the clicker device for each class I take using the clicker?

No, you only need to register your ResponseCard RF LCD once in an academic year no matter how many classes you are taking that use the clicker.

I can't give answers in class, what do I need to do?

Make sure your card is set to the correct channel. ResponseCards are set to Channel 41 by default. It's easy to set the channel on the clickers.

1. Press the Channel button on the clickers.
2. While the light is flashing red and green enter the 2 digit code for the classroom provided by your instructor.
3. After the second digit is entered, press and release the Channel button.

My Professor says that my card ID isn't showing on the Participation list.

Make sure you registered your ResponseCard's device id on the Web Registration site. Your device ID is the alphanumeric number below the barcode on the back of the card.

Will I need to change the channel on the Receiver?

Only if there are multiple classes using clickers that are in close proximity of one another. The receiver has a range of 200 ft. The default channel on the Receiver is 41. 82 channels are available. Once the Receiver is set to a new channel, students in the session must set their clickers to the new channel. To change the channel on the Receiver: Click on the channel number tab below Receiver on the TurningPoint dashboard.

How do I get TurningPoint software updates?

The receiver automatically receives software updates. You will be prompted to accept.

Is there a 508 compliant clicker available?

Yes, the ResponseCard RF-A is designed for the visually impaired, with Braille characters and a vibration feature.
