WCU D2L Services Office

brightspace logoD2L is the learning management system used by WCU to support online education for faculty and students.

For assistance, please come to the D2L Services office located in Anderson Hall, Room 3 Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm where staff will be available to provide expert support for D2L. You may also contact us by phone, email, or ticket.

  • After Hours D2L Technical Support (Monday - Friday after 4:30pm, weekends)
    • Faculty and students can contact a Brightspace by D2L representative at 1-866-832-1851.

D2L Internet Browser Recommendation

D2L Services recommends the use of Mozilla Firefox or Chrome when working in D2L. You may experience issues when utilizing other browsers.

Students should NOT use mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, Android devices, etc.) when submitting assignments or taking quizzes in D2L.

Monthly Maintenance


Please be advised that the D2L Hosting Facility performs scheduled server maintenance between 1:00AM and 7:00AM on the 2nd Sunday of every month. During this time, the system may not be available. Please try to access the site again at 7:01am EST, or shortly after. If you have any questions, please send us an e-mail.


All Turnitin services and related websites (Turnitin, OriginalityCheck, GradeMark, PeerMark) may be unavailable for use during scheduled maintenance times. Times for these scheduled maintenance windows are the first and third Saturdays of each month, 10:00am to 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
