First -Year Student Surveys

Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement

West Chester University Administers the Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE) to First-year students in order to collect data regarding their high school academic and co-curricular activites.  This survey also provides information on students' expectations regarding their anticipated participation in academic and co-curricular activities during their first year of college.

Cooperative Institutional Research Program

West Chester University (WCU) administers the Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) First-Year Student Survey every other year. The last year for which results are available is 2007. The presentations linked below provide a summary of the results, as well as a discussion on the characteristics of Millennial students at WCU.
