The goal of WCU Ideas Online is to engage the University community in resolving challenges and seizing opportunities. I am convinced that WCU students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends have great but untapped ideas for solving problems and reaching new heights of excellence.
For the first few weeks of WCU Ideas Online, I would like to specifically ask for your thoughts, ideas, questions and suggestions regarding how we can overcome the challenges of the current economic downturn. To do so, we will need to more fully leverage the resources the university receives from the state, donors, student tuition and other sources, and perhaps modify how we do business. Please let me hear your ideas on topics as:
Of course, we also want your ideas in other areas that will enable us to continue to improve WCU for our students, employees, and our community constituencies.
Each submission will be routed to a small group to review. When appropriate, a Task Force will be identified to further develop the suggestion.
I am thrilled by the expertise, enthusiasm, and momentum I’ve found as I’ve talked with you during my first weeks as West Chester University’s 14th president. It is important to me to continue listening and learning, not simply during the early days of my presidency but throughout the coming years of our working together. I value your opinions and need your input, as does the entire institution.
