PRESIDENT:
Andy
McLaughlin
(HPVII) is a junior from Canton, PA majoring in Music
Performance (Voice) with a minor in Mathematics. In
addition to his involvement with the Honors Student
Association, Andy is a member of the Student Government
Association, University Concert Choir, Bonner Leader
Program, Aid to South Africa Logistics Team, American
Choral Director’s Association, and the University
Forum. He has served in the past as Treasurer, Social
Committee Chair, and SGA Representative for HSA, and he
will be traveling with the Honors College to South
Africa in May 2008. Andy is excited for the coming year
and hopes to see the organization grow in its size,
service opportunities, and campus-wide involvement.
1st VICE PRESIDENT:
Ashley Miller
(HPVII) is a junior Communication Studies Major from
Mechanicsburg, PA. As a member of HSA the last two
years, Ashley has been a co-chair of the Public
Relations Committee, the chair of the Awards &
Recognition Committee, and the Publicity Chair for Aid
to South Africa. She has served on the Recruitment
Committee and the Orientation Committee in the past, and
she is directing the Orientation for the incoming Honors
class for the 2007-2008 school year. Aside from also
serving as the HSA Historian, Ashley works in the Honors
Office, is a University Ambassador, a member of the
Environmental Council, and is a part of the “Gracenotes,”
a female a cappella group on campus.
2nd VICE PRESIDENT:
Loren Welles
(HPVII) is a junior from Wyalusing, PA majoring in Music
Education with a minor in Music History. In addition to
being involved with HSA, she is also a member of MENC
and the University Wind Ensemble. Loren serves as a
regional coordinator for PCMEA, is a Resident Assistant
in McCarthy Hall, and traveled to China with the Honors
College last year.
SECRETARY:
Alyssa Conaway
(HPVIII) is a sophomore from Downingtown, PA majoring in
English Education with a minor in History. In addition
her involvement in HSA, she serves as a Senator on the
Student Government Association, is a University
Ambassador, a Bonner Leader, an Ally, and a member of
the University Forum. She also volunteers at the
Volunteer English Program in Chester County, teaches
private viola lessons, and plays in a community
orchestra. When not involved with these activities,
Alyssa can be found reading, practicing her viola, or
swinging at the park on the corner of S. New and Nields
Streets.

Horner
(HPVII) is a junior Political Science (International
Relations) major from Lancaster, PA. In addition to
being involved in HSA, she is the Legislative Affairs
Senator for Student Government Association, a Bonner
Leader with a Staff Position in the Office of Service
Learning and Volunteer Programs, and is this year’s
executive coordinator for the Honors College’s Aid to
South Africa event. This year, Ann hopes to see HSA
develop and become better known on the West Chester
campus.
