Bonner AmeriCorps Leaders Program
 |

A service-learning scholarship opportunity through a
partnership between the Honors College and the Bonner Foundation of
Princeton, NJ is offered to qualified candidates. The Bonner
Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support
higher education and community service by improving the lives of
individuals and communities. The program provides Honors students with
a strong commitment to serve others, the benefit of a $1,000 education
voucher from the AmeriCorps agency for 300 hours of verified community
service.
Students in the Bonner Program use their leadership skills to make a
difference in the civic life of our community and promote a stronger
quality of life for others. Bonners tutor the disadvantaged, fight
illiteracy, improve health services, and create and sustain awareness of
the plight of those less fortunate.
In
addition to their primary venue, Bonners participate throughout the year
in service opportunities through the Honors curriculum. Training
and enrichment are available through the Office for Service-Learning &
Volunteer Programs, and the students' various co-curricular commitments
on campus. Qualified candidates may serve one but not more than
two terms in the program during their undergraduate career.
