After uniting,
brainstorming and many
months of careful
planning ...
|
|

|
|
The Honors Student
Association presented
|
|

The Aid to South
Africa sponsored walk
and fair.
 |
|
|
|
To help
visualize
the level of
poverty and
desperate
living
conditions
in South
Africa,
Habitat for Humanity
student volunteers came
through building
displays for the event. |
|
|

|
|
Honors student
volunteers and
friends turned out
early to set up |
|

Ran the booths
|
|

And came up with some
creative
events
to raise money for two very worthy causes.
|
|

There was Caricature Art
|

Rock-Em
and
Bop-Em |

Tape an Honors student
to the wall! |
|

The Moon Bounce

Entertaining Illusionists

Jugglers and Puppeteers

Impressive!
|
|
 |
|
Cool stuff was
brought in |
| |
|
|
To keep things
fun for everyone
|
| |
|
|
Live bands turned out to
entertain |

And talented students
joined in to fill
the air with song

After many months of
preparation,
the ASA
events turned out to
be a great success!
|
Thanks to the generosity
of our volunteers and participants,
local businesses and
corporate sponsors,

We not only
ended up
meeting our goal,
but EXCEEDING our goal!
|
Proceeds
from the Aid
to South
Africa
events go directly
towards helping two
organizations:
The
H. E. L.
P.
Ministry Soup
Kitchen where every day
over 5,000 children are provided with a cup
of soup and a slice of bread. For most of
these children it will be their only meal of the
day.
Funds will also go to
the
Sparrow Village
Orphanage where all
of the children in the
orphanage have HIV/AIDS.
