To kick-off Family Weekend, President Madeleine Wing Adler and her husband Dr. Fred Lane host a reception for parents of first-year students and parents who support the WCU Fund for Student Success. The event gives parents the opportunity to mingle with Dr. Adler, Dr. Lane, the deans, the vice presidents and other key administrative staff members of West Chester University. Over 150 proud parents attended the reception in 2007.

At WCU we understand that parent's are the driving force behind the success of our students. We recognize that they are a big part of this campus and strive to include them as much as possible in special events and day-to-day activities.
