Bequests
Where There's a Will,
There's a Way
Bequests to West Chester University are the most common form of Gift Planning. Bequests may be tailored to leave a general gift to the University or may be specifically limited to scholarship endowment, Capital Funding for Buildings and Grounds, or other donor interests.

The specified property passes directly to the WCU Foundation upon death and is directed to your designated purpose. Outright bequests
may be in dollar amount, percentage of your estate or its residue.
Suggested Language for a Bequest |
|
After all specified payments are made to other beneficiaries, the Foundation will receive a percentage or all of the residue of the estate. |

| Contingent Bequest |
|
Deferred Bequest |
| |
|
|
| A contingent bequest leaves the proceeds of your estate to the WCU Foundation in the event that your other beneficiaries should predecease you. |
|
Deferred Bequests are a way to provide income to a family member or loved one during his/her lifetime and to provide a gift to the University after his/her passing.
