The
DPS
Communications Center is staffed 24 hours daily
with A.P.C.O. certified emergency dispatch personnel. All electronic
security systems and fire alarms for the campus are monitored at
the Communications Center. The Center receives more than 26,000
calls for assistance annually.
The
Center is able to communicate
with a variety of law enforcement agencies throughout the
Commonwealth and the Nation. We have Mobile Data Computers
(MDC's) to communicate with the Chester County Department of
Emergency Services. We have the Commonwealth Law Enforcement
Assistance Network (CLEAN) which allows us to extract license
and registration information as well as enter and view
information on criminal histories and stolen items. We also can
receive messages through these systems from other agencies about
criminal activity and many other issues that are related to our
operations. We also have recently began operating a secure
Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET), for sharing information on
the Federal, State, County and Local levels.
