USA Schools

Schools in the USA participate in the Amigos A Partnership for Education program in several ways.  The program enhances cross-cultural understanding and learning through a series of interactive experiences.  Teachers and students have access to a wealth of resources via the website, such as lesson plans, video and audio clips, and games.  They can take a "virtual tour" of the Amazon rainforest and visit schools in the program.  Students exchange postcards with sponsored schools.

ACEER staff and volunteers offer presentations, assembly programs, and books for all ages. Invite us to visit your school!  Schools and student clubs have annual "Save the Rainforest Walkathons" or collect "Pennies for the Rainforest."  Enterprising art students have created reusable bags to sell and donated the proceeds to sponsor a school in the Amazon.

Teachers can participate in the ACEER's annual workshop to the Amazon and earn academic credit or CEU's.  One and two-day workshops are held at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
