PERSONAL
REFLECTION (2005)
My involvement
over the past year has given me the opportunity to demonstrate
my leadership skills. Through my position as Social Service
Chair I had to organize service events which would provide opportunities
for my organization to interact with the community. Because
of my motivation and optimistic personality, I was able to promote
the Community Service activities effectively and was awarded
the Community Service Award in March 2004.
I developed many leadership skills from my leadership positions
on campus. This includes my experience as a Leadership Development
Educator where I worked with many organizations on campus to
facilitate and manage group interaction. I worked with these
groups to develop problem solving techniques and was able to
motivate these groups to learn new ways to become effective
teams.
Through all of my experiences I have been able to interact successfully
with a wide range of people and have learned how to give feedback
in a constructive manner. My time management skills have grown
with the many activities I am involved in. I have a capacity
to adapt to new situations and settings and to tolerate change
well.
