Welcome to West Chester University and the Office of New Student Programs! We want you to be successful as you make the transition as a non-traditional student to West Chester University. In August we offer a half-day orientation program to help non-traditional students be more prepared as they begin their academic career at WCU.
A non-traditional student is any person over the age of 24 who is attending college for the first time or returning after an extended absence. Unlike traditional students who enter college immediately after high school, non-traditional students (“non-trads” for short) often work full- or part-time, are married or partnered, and/or care for children or elderly parents. Non-traditional students should take advantage of the many student support opportunities available to be successful at WCU.
When: The non-traditional orientation program will take place in the evening on Friday, August 15, 2014.
How to register: Please check back here for registration information to be posted soon.
What to expect: At the Orientation program you will be provided with an orientation schedule and name tag, and you will have your West Chester University student ID picture taken. You will tour the campus, receive information regarding the many student support services at WCU, and meet other non-traditional students to network with prior to the start of the fall semester.
