Established in 1973, the Center for International Programs (CIP) assists in coordinating study abroad programs and provides essential services for international students, scholars, and faculty. The office is part of Graduate Studies and Extended Education.

Students are encouraged to participate in semester or year-long study abroad programs as well as summer study abroad programs. The CIP hosts a Study Abroad Fair each fall in Sykes Student Union where students have the opportunity to meet representatives from study abroad programs all over the world. In addition, study abroad representatives visit campus during the spring semester. The schedule for these visits is available in the office at the beginning of each spring semester. The CIP offers semester, year-long, and summer abroad programs. Information about study abroad can be found at the Web site, http://wcupa.abroadoffice.net.

All West Chester University immigration services are provided through the CIP. A variety of services such as Homeland Security - SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) compliance, orientation, and support services are provided for approximately 150 students and scholars from more than 50 countries.
