ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, and OTHER DRUG PROGRAMS
As part of our comprehensive alcohol prevention program, West Chester University expects new students under the age of 21 to complete AlcoholEdu for College – an online,
non-opinionated, science-based course taken by hundreds of thousands of students each year. Whether you drink or not, AlcoholEdu will guide you to make well-informed decisions about alcohol and help you better cope with the drinking behavior of your peers.
We encourage you to be thoughtful and complete the program honestly and with accurate personal information. Alcohol EDU will help you develop a personal plan regarding alcohol use and possibly avoid legal, health and academic complications that can be caused by alcohol use. All survey responses are strictly confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as whole and will never see individual student answers. The program also includes Haven,a module which addresses sexual assault awareness and prevention.
Part 1 of the course takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete and we recommend that you take it in multiple sittings.
Students are required to complete Part 1 by January 31, 2013, with a minimum
score of 75 on the exam.
The course has two sections, both of which must be completed to fulfill this requirement:
To begin the program you must know your WCU ID number and email address.
