Merit Scholarship Information for Incoming Freshmen

Freshmen who meet the minimum academic requirements for merit-based scholarship consideration, and are admitted to the University by January 15th, will be provided information on how to apply along with their acceptance letter. Candidates must have a minimum combined SAT score of 1200 or better on the old SAT (critical reading and math) or a 1270 or better on the new SAT (erw and math) and rank in the top 20% of their class. Students with a combined SAT score of 1180 on the old SAT (critical reading and math) or a 1250 or better on the new SAT (erw and math) may be considered if they rank in the top 15% of their class.  Applicants who meet the academic criteria for scholarship consideration are encouraged to apply early in the fall of their senior year.

The University Scholarship Committee reviews all applications submitted by the assigned due date to determine the allocation of awards. Consideration will be based on the strength of students' academic achievements in high school, as well as their involvement in co-curricular activities and accomplishments within the community.
