Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded on various criteria usually reflecting the values and purposes of the donor or the founder of the award. Some scholarships are one-time awards while others may be renewable.

Scholarships available to incoming freshmen

Merit Scholarships
In-coming freshmen scholarship recipients are selected by a committee of university administrators. Admitted students to the university who ranked in the top 20 percent of their high school senior class, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and a combined SAT scores over 1150 will be mailed a merit scholarship application to complete. Please make sure to adhere to all deadlines.

External/Outside Scholarship Opportunities

The financial aid office receives scholarship information and applications from external sources. This information is available in the Scholarship Binder (Updated 2-7-2012) located in the financial aid office.

In addition to the scholarships listed in the Scholarship Binder there are special programs unique to Pennsylvania. PHEAA Scholarships and Special Programs. Completion of the FAFSA is required.
