The Office of New Student Programs (NSP) coordinates orientation and outreach programs for first-year, transfer and adult-learner students, as well as the family and friends who support them. Orientation programs take place during the summer, fall, and spring seasons. NSP collaborates with a variety of campus partners to promote a successful transition to West Chester University by acclimating students and their supporters to WCU’s academic and co-curricular services, resources for student success and achievement, and opportunities to connect with their peers, professors, and colleagues.
In addition to in-person orientation experiences, NSP offers online and virtual orientation programs. In conjunction with key campus partners, NSP also coordinates extensive Welcome Week programming to engage new students as they move to campus in the fall. New student outreach efforts include social media engagement, the NSP website and direct email campaigns. New students and their supporters are encouraged to contact the NSP office if they have questions or concerns as they transition to life as a Golden Ram. For more information, please see our website.
