This page is intended to provide transparency and specific details about WCU resources to help communicate about the budgeting process and establish common ground upon which we hope to build a collective process to face the potential budget deficit for fiscal year 12 and beyond.
While we have had to make difficult decisions for the upcoming fiscal year, we do not want to continue to cut around the edges. Instead, we want to engage in strategic and innovative thinking and to have broad and inclusive discussions about opportunities for transformation while we also preserve the core mission of our institution.
During spring 2011 semester, we engaged in a division wide discussion about how to overcome the challenges presented by the economic downturn. Through divisional Town Hall meetings, we gathered your ideas and suggestions about how to continue to improve WCU for all of its constituencies.
Future divisional budgetary decision will be based on the *Guiding Principles, which were formed collectively with input from divisional leaders, faculty and staff.
