This week-long course will enable you to envision teaching your students with a fresh approach to writing and reading in your classroom. Be a writer and reader for the week while exploring and discussing pedagogy and best practices. Learn about mini-lessions, infusing writing with craft, and comprehension strategies. Discuss mentor texts, and share ideas regarding how to manage record-keeping. Participants will also learn how to confer with students without feeling overwhelmed and overburdened. Make the most of your students’ time for writing and reading and renew yourself by spending time with other professionals who are reflcting on how they work and how they might re-envision their practice. “I enjoyed this class and learned a lot of ways to mange an effective writer’s workshop.
