Reading and Writing to Learn Math

This new course is designed for math teachers who want to discover their own math literacy. In this class you will share strategies for reading math texts and writing in math classes, develop lessons that incorporate math literacy strategies, and examine how students can increase their math literacy and become more successful mathematicians. You will also learn to apply PSSA standards to your curriculum.

Thanks to a grant from the Carnegie Foundation, a $250 stipend will be applied to each student's account to reduce the cost of this course.
