One of the primary motivations for the recent development of an assessment plan for the Finance program is to enable students to apply the concepts and facts learned in class to real world problems. This was to ensure that the continued relevance of the Finance program in the face of changing macro-economic and technological environment.
Additionally on an ongoing basis, we regularly seek feedback from both the onsite (company) internship supervisors and student interns about the relevance of course contents to the needs of sponsoring employers. The feedback obtained over the years suggests that our core finance courses as well as the program's general business education met employers' needs satisfactorily.
Consequently, our Finance graduates do not only have the requisite foundational skills to fit in into entry-level positions, but also have the necessary communication, research, technological, and people skills necessary for rapid professional advancement.
