The purpose of the award is to recognize one outstanding senior student who is majoring in a CAS discipline. The award will be presented at the CAS Student Recognition Ceremony usually held each spring semester.

The College of Arts and Sciences holds its annual Student Recognition Ceremony at the end of each academic year to recognize all students in the College who have received honors or awards.
