Women in Science

Women in Science Gathering

May 20th saw the revival of the Women in Science gathering. Over 45 women representing students, alumnae, faculty, staff and retired faculty took the opportunity to network and build relationships. The program featured a performance by Gracenotes, the University's only all-woman a cappela group, opening remarks from Dean Lori Vermeulen, a perspective from alumna Lidia Maneri ’79 and the student perspective by Florence Lee ’09. Many thanks to everyone who attended! Plans are already underway for next year’s events.

Pre-Med Alumni Reception

Pre-Med Alumni Reception

Pre-Med alumni, students, faculty and friends gathered on May 17th for the inaugural Pre-Med Alumni Reception. The alumni could not have come to campus at a better time and their mere presence assured the students, who were only a few days away from finals, that there is a light at the end of their very long tunnel. A date for next year's event will be set soon.
