College Literature accepts papers that deal with textual analysis, literary theory, and pedagogy for today's changing college classrooms. These manuscript submissions should be between 8000 and 10,000 words. The journal will also consider notes on individual texts, book review essays, book reviews, and commentary or opinion pieces on issues of importance to teaching literature (pedagogical, institutional, theoretical, and curricular).
We encourage submission of papers on disk written preferably on IBM Microsoft Word processing software. Papers submitted should use parenthetical or internal citations and a works cited page following the conventions of The Chicago Manual of Style, 14th edition. Hard copies of essays should be submitted in triplicate with a standard stamped self-addressed envelope. Authors' names should appear on cover sheets only. We cannot be responsible for returning manuscripts without return postage.
