Brief Biography:

Before coming to WCU, Dr. Brophy taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Holy Family University and the National University of Ireland. He received his BS in journalism at Boston University before heading to the National University of Ireland-Galway to earn his Master of Philosophy in Irish studies. He later completed his Ph.D. in Irish history at University College Dublin. Professor Brophy has presented nearly a dozen academic papers at conferences and has four peer-reviewed articles in print.
