Dr. Steven Gimber
Assistant Professor

Brief Biography:
Gimber is an assistant professor of history and the director of the American Studies program at West Chester University. He has his doctorate in U.S. history from the American University in Washington, DC and a Master’s degree in American Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his B.A. in history from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1988 and taught as an adjunct professor of history at his alma mater for several years.

America Through Sight and Sound, Colonial America, History of American Food and Foodways, History of Humor, History of American Presidents, History of American TV, Pennsylvania History, Revolutionary America, U.S. History to 1865
Research Interests:
architectural history, agricultural history, American studies, Colonial America, Delaware Valley history, food history, landscape architecture, the Lenape, Quakers, Revolutionary War.
