Interdisciplinary Requirement One approved interdisciplinary course. An approved interdisciplinary course at the 100 or 200 level may be substituted for any course in the distributive requirements or in the arts. An approved interdisciplinary course at the 300 or 400 cannot be substituted for general education. ENG 121 is a prerequisite for all interdisciplinary courses.

Writing Emphasis Students entering with less than 40 credits—three, 40-70 credits—two, more than 70 credits--one approved writing emphasis courses taken at West Chester University. ENG 120 and 121 do not count as writing emphasis courses. Writing emphasis courses may simultaneously fulfill another degree requirement. Writing emphasis courses may not be transferred to West Chester University.
