This course is a general survey of structuralist theory as it relates to linguistics, anthropology, psychology, and literature. The goal of the course is to demonstrate how structuralism is a theoretical orientation in the social sciences and the humanities that attempts to transform the chaos of appearances into order of reality in the world of ideas.
