The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with opportunities to learn about and practice basic teaching methodologies and techniques that work well for conducting sexuality education programs with young people.
WCU is co-sponsoring with PSAHPERD and PCPTP. The Workshop will be conducted by Nora Gelperin, M. Ed. who is the director of training and education at Answer and conducts workshops for teachers nationwide and is a sexuality expert for Answer's weekly live chats on a sexual health website for teens: http://www.sexetc.org. Answer is a national organization dedicated to providing and promoting comprehensive sexuality education to young people and the adults who teach them.
Nora Gelperin oversees Answer's Sexuality Education Training Initiative. she is also the founder of the organization's annual Training Institute in Sexual Health Education (TISHE) and a sexuality expert for the weekly live chats on the Sex, Etc. website, Sexetc.org . Nora develops, markets and conducts training workshops for teachers and community agency staff in New Jersey and nationwide and is a sexuality expert for Answer's weekly live chats on a sexual health website for teens: http://www.sexetc.org. Answer is a national organization dedicated to providing and promoting comprehensive sexuality education to young people and the adults who teach them.
This workshop has been approved for 6 hours of ACT 48 credits and 6 hours of CHES Continuing Education Units.
