Donating to the Frederick Douglass Institute

At the first ever Patricia Grasty Gaines Multicultural Leadership Awards Dinner in 2000, West Chester University of PA named an endowment for an African American faculty member in the hopes of making the Awards Dinner a tradition here on campus. Over seventy-five friends, family, and colleagues made leadership contributions to help start this fund attended. In this very short time the dream has realized almost $65,000 in contributions.

However, our goal is to reach $100,000 over the next two years to establish this endowment and to support this lecture series on an annual basis. We continue to need support and encouragement to build on this work. A highly visible and annual celebration of diversity and leadership is vital to West Chester University and its community. It is essential that we continue to provide the opportunity for our campus community to learn about our diverse intellectual heritage.

Your donations to the Institute allow for the celebration to be a long lasting tradition within the West Chester University of PA campus and community.
