Field Placement and Student Teaching

This office places teacher education students majoring in early childhood, elementary, secondary and special education for early field and student teaching experiences in 50 school districts located in the Philadelphia area.

PA law requires students to present current criminal clearances to school district administrators at the onset of any field experience. The following is a list of courses that include a field experience component.

Please allow ample time (at least 6 weeks) to obtain all of your clearances.

Mandatory Pre-Registration for Student Teaching

Students majoring in EGP, MGP,  Elementary, Early Childhood, Secondary and Special Education MUST attend, one year prior to their student teaching semester, a Pre-Registration Meeting.  If you plan to complete your student teaching Spring 2013, click on link below for the schedule of meetings being held March 19, 2012 thru March 23, 2012.
