Mrs. Katherine Conroy is an assistant professor in nursing. She joined the Department of Nursing at West Chester University in 1983. Mrs. Conroy has had extensive clinical experience in maternal-child nursing. She has had clinical positions at Mass General Hospital, Boston City Hospital, Tufts New England Medical Center and Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston Massachusetts. Before coming to West Chester University, she was Urology Clinical Specialist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Her subject areas include labor and delivery, newborn care and post partum nursing. She has a special interest in breastfeeding and has a part time position as a lactation consultant. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Association of Women's Health, Obstetrical and Neonatal Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Mrs. Conroy is currently exploring the use of the discussion board feature of the online package Blackboard to allow for collaborative interaction outside the classroom. |
