Join us for the 16th Annual Bear Fair

November 1-30, 2012

Over the course of the last 15 years, the greater West Chester University community; including students, staff, alumni, faculty, non-profits, government agencies, and businesses have touched the lives of over 50,000 children by donating teddy bears to children in need. The bears have added comfort and support to youth living in shelters, children in hospitals, and kids in need of presents during the holiday season.

Groups are welcome to participate - great for all ages! We welcome clubs and organizations, fraternities and sororities, schools, businesses, girl scout troops, etc.  It's easy to paticipate! You can arrange your own collection during the month of November and then bring the teddy bears to our office or to one of the area drop off locations.If your group would like to participate please email Jodi Roth. 

Teddy bears donated to the Bear Fair go to children in hospitals and shelters during the holiday season. The Bear Fair Commitee suggests donating teddy bears that are at least 6 inches tall. The most popular teddy bears are usually soft and cuddly and between 8 inches to 15 inches. Please only donate NEW teddy bears. This is a request of the hospitals and agencies we are working with.

he Bear Fair is cordinated by the Bear Fair Committee; which is made up of the students and staff in the Office of Service-Learning and Volunteer Programs, as well as representatives from other campus organizations. We also have a Bear Fair Alumni Group!

In the past 15 years more than 50,000 kids have been given the gift of a comforting teddy bear because of the Bear Fair!
