The Office of New Student Programs.

Position: Orientation Leader

Responsibilities:

  •  Participate in all training activities during the spring semester and summer.

  • Participate in all Orientation Sessions in June, July, and August.

  • Participate in Welcome Week Activities in August and September, Leadership Retreat in September and Family Weekend in October.

  •  Serve as a resource person providing general assistance and answering questions.

  • Lead small and large groups of new students in discussions and activities.

  • Direct and participate in social and recreational activities.

  • Complete administrative and program preparation duties as assigned

Requirements:

  1. Orientation Leaders must maintain a 2.3 cumulative grade point average.

  2. Successfully complete all training activities.

  3. Be present at all training workshops in April, June, Orientation days in July and August, Welcome Week Activities in August and September, Leadership Retreat in September and Family Weekend in October.

  4. Enrollment in Summer Session I courses is prohibited.

  5. Follow the program assignment schedule distributed at the start of each session.

  6. You must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at West Chester University for Fall '06.

  7. Comply with all aspects of the University Student Code of Conduct.

  8. Maintain the highest ethical and professional conduct at all times.

Applications for 2006 Orientation Leaders are now available. Applications can be picked up in the Office of New Student Programs, 236 Sykes Student Union, or downloaded from the New Student Programs website:  http://www.wcupa.edu/_SERVICES/stu.nsp/    Applications are due by Friday, February 17, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in the Office of New Student Programs.
