Annual Volunteer Fair

September 12, 2012 from 11:00am - 2:00pm at the Sykes Student Union Ballrooms

Each year the Annual Volunteer Fair seeks to connect students, staff, and faculty with community partners from a variety of non-profit agencies. This year 64 agencies were in attendance and over 450 students attended the fair. Each agency left the Volunteer Fair with a list of students who were interested in volunteering; while the students left with a list of agencies to contact for volunteer opportunities. Some students attended the fair to find a meaningful volunteer placement; while others were looking for career exploration or to fulfill a requirement for a service-learning course or scholarship. West Chester University serves an extremely diverse population of people and the Volunteer Fair is one of the many ways the community's diverse needs are met. It is simply a great opportunity to connect with organizations that are working hard every day to combat injustices in our society and to make a difference in the process.
