      FEBRUARY 4 – AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE, University Hall, 2:00–8:00 p.m.

      FEBRUARY 5 - NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY to raise awareness of and to fight women’s heart disease.  www.GoRedForWomen.org.

      FEBRUARY 13 – POLAR PLUNGE to benefit the Brandywine Valley Association, Brandywine Picnic Park, 9:00 a.m. – noon.  Participate or volunteer.  For more information go to www.brandywinewatershed.org or call (610) 793-1090.

      *FEBRUARY 9 – REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR THE GREAT BROWNIE BAKE-OFF.

      FEBRUARY 8 – 12 – HEARTS FOR MEGAN HEART SALE, in memory of deceased WCU student Megan Bates.  Look for the table in Sykes and buy a heart to help fill the Sykes window.  All proceeds will benefit Mommy’s Light.  

      FEBRUARY 11 – HEARTS FOR MEGAN, a special event at Riverstone Café, Exton and Winners Circle, Edgemont.  Proceeds benefit Mommy’s Light.  For more information go to www.heartsformegan.com

      FEBRUARY 13 – PINK ZONE GAME, Women’s Basketball.  Annual game to raise money for breast cancer research.  Proceeds will benefit the Kay Yow Foundation.  Fans are asked to wear pink to support the cause.  Hollinger Field House, 1:00 p.m.

      FEBRUARY 13 – WCU vs. MS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT hosted by Circle K, 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Hollinger Gym.  Proceeds benefit the National MS Society.  Advance sign-up will be necessary.

      FEBRUARY 13 – ALPHA PHI RED DRESS GALA

      *FEBRUARY 16 – ANNUAL GREAT BROWNIE BAKE-OFF to raise money for two local food banks. Sykes Lobby, 11:00 a.m. – to 4:00 p.m.  Sponsored by the Office of Service Learning & Volunteer Programs.       FEBRUARY 18 –*GREAT BROWNIE BAKE-OFF SNOW DATE.

      MARCH 2 – READ ACROSS AMERICA EVENTS.  A National event to read to children.  Volunteers needed to read at 2 or 3 locations in West Chester and at WCU’s Children Center.   Please contact our office for more information.

      MARCH 19 & 20 – WEST CHESTER PLAYSCHOOL ANNUAL AUCTION, West Chester Senior Center.  Help needed for set up on the 19th from 3:00-6:00 p.m.  March 20th help is needed between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for set up, from 8:00-11:00 during the auction and at 11:00 p.m. for break down.  For more information, please call Debra Louis at debralouis@gmail.com.

      MARCH 26 - SCRABBLE TOURNAMENT to benefit Relay for Life. A Sykes After Dark Event, 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.  Teams of two will play for prizes. Registration is $10 per team and includes snacks, refreshments, fun and competition.  Advance registration required by March 19.  Please contact our office for more information.
